DETAILS:This elegant Villa which dates back to XV-XVI century, is plunged in the country, on the hillside, with a view covering from Lucca towers to San Miniato. The site was inhabited since the Lombard period, V-VI century, as testified by some tower ruins found; later an another tower was built, X-XI century, surrounded then by others structures. The actual look is due to a restoration for the wedding of two of the richest and most influential noble families of Lucca. Later on it became a convent, where renowned Lucca's personalities where living, between the 1700-1800.
The late restoration preserved all the original features of the structure, the construction materials therefore the stones, the "cotto", the wood, the hand-forged iron, the fire places, the original frescoes and the '500 partition with the spacious halls and bedrooms, the typical Loggia (balcony) with arches, columns, capitals and frescoes; a thorough example of severity and elegance as testimony of its former prestige and grandeur, a true and beautiful specimen of "Villa Lucchese", as described and codified by the famous architect Mr. Samminiati (1500).

The ground floor is composed by a 70sqm hall with bricks vault while the remain ceilings are wooden-beamed; there are three bedrooms, one in the old wine cellar and another one in the old olive oil jars store, two bathrooms, a fully furnished kitchen, a large central hall with an impressive fireplace, a wood-burning oven and the laundry.
At the main floor you will find an ample guest living, about 150sqm, with a huge fireplace; a dining room, a living room and a studio. A second living room is located inside the tower, with the original fireplace and a wooden-beam and "cotto" ceiling; There is also a bathroom and a big "Loggia", partly frescoed viewing the Oliveto (olive grove) and the woods.
On the third floor are located six very large bedrooms with private bathrooms (some of them with Jacuzzi) and with an impressive view. There is also an ample hall with a huge fireplace: the high ceiling is over hanged by an old truss, and composed by a big wooden beams and "cotto" ceiling.
The Villa is mainly decorated with antique furniture of high quality and in various styles. In the main halls there is a Satellite TV. The building is provided with a floor heating system, except for the tower that has a traditional one.

Outside: The Villa is surrounded by a garden and by the Oliveto, furthermore there is a tank of the Renaissance period, it used to be a fish tank, and now after the restoration will be the perfect refreshing spot during the hot summer days (9x3meters, from 1.20 to 2.00 meters deeply).
