DETAILS: This small building was erected upon an Etruscan tomb excavated inside the rock and subsequently transformed in the wine cellar of the house, still visible downstairs in the basement. The apartment is located at the first floor of this 1400’s building, but faces as a 4th floor overlooking the roofs of the ancient core, with a stunning view onto the lake. The interior has been just restored by an architect maintaining the ancient precious character: architraves and window sills in local stone, ancient thick walls, original fireplace.
The apartment is cool in Summer and warm in Winter; it is composed by a master double bedroom, a second double bedroom (or twin beds) both wide and overlooking the lake; a kitchenette fully equipped, a bathroom with shower, a sitting/dining room with a warm fireplace and TV, facing the small medieval square, where it is possible to add a pull-out sleeper couch. The location is in the old core of Bracciano, in a tiny old street, just a few steps from the majestic Odescalchi Castle. The area is very quiet, the cars are forbidden, but it is possible to park just 5 minutes far by walking. Just a walk for getting shops and supermarkets, bar and restaurants, as well as the railway station with local train to Rome every half an hour. A public shuttle gets the lake in summertime. It is also possible to get the lake by walk in about 15 minutes.
